Aaron Professor Louie Hurwitz Producer / Engineer of The Rock’ n’ Roll Hall of Fame Group The Band, Graham Parker, Commander Cody, Guy Davis, Mercury Rev, Garth Hudson, Rick Danko, New Riders Of The Purple Sage and many international artists has owned his own studio LRS since 2000. Louie started Woodstock Records in 1998 and has performed & released his own music with Professor Louie & The Crowmatix in 2000.

Professor Louie & The Crowmatix from Woodstock, NY have been performing since the year 2000 at numerous Festivals,
Theaters, Clubs and Art Centers averaging 150 shows a year.

Professor Louie & The Crowmatix latest recording Strike Up The Band released in 2022 on The Woodstock Records Label
has received fantastic reviews and has been on The Roots Music Radio Charts in the top 30 since it's release. Their single Work It Out
has been # 1 on the NY State Radio charts. PL&C have released sixteen studio CD's, an LP and three DVD's on Woodstock Records.

Professor Louie & The Crowmatix repertoire is steeped in Rock, Blues, Gospel and American Roots music.
PL&C began as the studio backing band for Aaron Professor Louie's musical productions for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees, The Band.

This Grammy Nominated Woodstock, NY group have performed at the Thunder Bay, London & Windsor Festivals in Canada, The Tondor Festival, Falcon Ridge Festival, The Sellersville Theater, PA - BB Kings in NYC - The House Of Blues in LA - The Sportsmen's Tavern, Buffalo, NY - The Bearsville Theater, Woodstock, NY and many more venues. Professor Louie & Miss Marie have performed many times on The Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise.

Professor Louie & The Crowmatix have been inducted into Blues Hall Of Fame, New York Chapter and hold a permanent place
in the Canada South Blues Museum.

Professor Louie has emerged over his five decades in the music industry as the torchbearer of the true spirit of American Roots music.
Seasoned live performer, prolific recording artist and versatile multi-instrumentalist, Professor Louie also wears the hat of award-winning
Recording Producer and Engineer, capturing the talents of some of the worlds most highly acclaimed musicians, most notably,
Rock'n'Roll Hall Of Fame group The Band. Professor Louie worked with The band for over 16 years and produced their 3 comeback CD's in the 90's - Jericho, High On The Hog and Jubilation. Prof. Louie played on and produced their hit song Atlantic City.
Rick Danko christened him Professor Louie due to his work and friendship with The Band.
Prof. Louie has also produced and performed with Graham Parker, Commander Cody, Guy Davis, Buckwheat Zydeco, New Riders Of The Purple Sage, Jesse McReynolds, Four Men & A Dog and many more well known artists.

Miss Marie (Vocals-Percussionist-Keys) has written many songs for The Crowmatix. Marie performed and recorded with Levon Helm,
Rick Danko, Garth Hudson and The Commander Cody Band and was an integral part of Mercury Rev's Gold Album Deserters Song.

Frank Campbell (Bass-Vocals) Levon Helm's Music Director with the Woodstock All-Stars touring the USA, performed & recorded
with Steve Forbert on tour.

2023 - Rockin' Legacy Vol. 1 Vinyl EP Professor Louie & The Crowmatix worked with some of the biggest Rock Icons. Professor Louie: The Band - Gary Burke: Joe Jackson & Bob Dylan - Miss Marie: The Band & Rick Danko - John Platania: Van Morrison, Frank Campbell: Levon Helm They chose four songs for this EP named Rockin’ Legacy Vol. 1, from the artists they played, recorded and worked with, creatively re-imagining and developing new Roots Rock versions of these Classic tunes.

2022 - Strike Up The Band CD - Original songs reflecting unique visions of relationships and thoughts about this tumultuous world
and the times we live in. This CD is upbeat and up lifting with great driving grooves, vocal stylings and magic guitar riffs. Some of the
greatest work of their careers. Americana at it's best!

2019 - Miles Of Blues CD - A collection of nine new tracks and a bonus live cut and the CD is appropriately subtitled
From L-50 to Steampunk and Miles of Blues in between, giving us a clue to the variety in store for our listening pleasure.
Miles Of Blues CD takes us on a joy ride across a marvelous musical landscape.

2018 - The Lost Band Tracks CD - A six song EP on Funzalo/Woodstock Records. The Lost Band Tracks written & originally recorded in 1991 by Jules Shear and The Band members Levon Helm, Rick Danko, Garth Hudson, Stan Szelest, Jim Weider & Randy Ciarlante intended for a CD on Columbia Records but never released. Long time Producer, Engineer and performer Aaron Prof. Louie Hurwitz was the man behind those original sessions. So it only made sense to bring them to life re-recording the songs with his group The Crowmatix - This CD has been receiving great reviews.
